Loving Our Neighbours

We’re in this together.

We partner with some wonderful organisations who work to meet some of the greatest needs of Cape Town and beyond.

The Children’s Library

We are Joy and Seung Young Jung and are missionaries from South Korea. We have been members of CCK for years.

We set up a Children’s Library in Jim se Bos informal settlement in Philippi and provide a Christian based pre-school educational programme to 3-7 year olds. We also aid with school support for primary school learners

WOTS

Word on the Street (or WOTS) is an outreach initiative to help women involved in prostitution in Wynberg and Kenilworth, Cape Town.

The love of Christ compels us to pray, speak God’s truth, offer belonging and family, empowering women trapped in sex work with commitment through struggle, while partnering with others in Christ.

Bettaway Community Church

We’re Clive and Glenda McMinn and we felt called to start Bettaway Community Church in Delft, a poverty stricken suburb of Cape Town.

With a beautiful and functional church building, we serve a growing congregation with a wide range of ministries, including services, poverty relief, family ministries and a homework club.

SIM

I’m Emma Brewster and I serve with SIM, an international mission organisation with 4000 workers in more than 70 countries.

I am part of the global leadership team and help regions think through the different ways they can reach out to communities where Christ is least known.

U-Turn

We are a group of people with skills to overcome homelessness in Cape Town.

The Church House is managed by U-Turn on the CCK campus and provides accommodation for individuals on U-Turn’s work-based skills programme.

Mercy Ships

Brenda van Straten and Desiree Daniels (not pictured) serve with Mercy Ships, providing hope and healthcare through on board hospitals to the poorest nations on earth.

Brenda is the National Director for SA and her role includes fund-raising, volunteer recruitment and managing the ships activities when in SA.

Desiree is the SA Mercy Ships Project Manager and her role focusses on building local medical capacity for the ships.

Church’s Ministry among the Jewish People

CMJ works globally in helping the church understand their Jewish roots, in combating antisemitism and in facilitating respectful conversations between Jews and Christians.

We have a strong teaching ministry and we’re at the forefront of advocacy against antisemitism.

Global Evangelism Ministries

I am Ntate Joseph Mpakanyane and I, along with Pastor Mohato, serve with GEM, which was established in 1980 in Lesotho.

The focus of our ministry to the rural areas of Lesotho is evangelism and a discipleship and theological educational programme called the Lesotho Theological Education by Extension (LTEE).

Holy Trinity Church Windhoek

I am Kwatouta Katenda and I serve with Holy Trinity Church Windhoek, a church plant in Windhoek with a mission to reach out to young adults in Windhoek from different backgrounds.

I am a pastor, which includes overseeing the church plant, and organization, raising funds, leading a discipleship group, preaching, and doing pastoral visitation.
