At CCK, we want
EVERYONE PRAYING, EVERYONE SERVING, and EVERYONE GIVING.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYER, SERVICE AND GIVING!
Our vision is to grow God’s family through pursuing Christ, training leaders and planting churches to renew society. Here’s a short update on what we’ve been able to do this year together as a church, thanks to your support.
Growing God’s Family
Alpha
Over the past year we've run six Alpha courses, reaching 483 people. There were three Alphas at CCK, one in a prison, one in a school, and one for youth. Each new Alpha provides opportunities for previous participants to serve as hosts or helpers, deepening their own faith journey.
CCKids & Youth
CCKIDS runs across two Sunday services each week, discipling over 150 children. Our Summer and Winter Holiday Clubs attract hundreds of kids, providing opportunities for over 70 teen leaders from Ambies to grow in their faith while offering much-needed support to working parents. Our annual events, including Christmas, Easter, and our Light Party (an alternative to Halloween), are times when Christ Church's doors are wide open and have attracted more than 700 guests.
Pursuing Christ
Services
Our four Sunday services and one midweek service continue to draw together different age groups and demographics, representing the cultural and racial diversity of the city we look to love and serve. Each week we witness fresh expressions of prayer, praise, and worship with a growing team of musicians, artists, and prayer ministers. Our average attendance has increased by 35%.
Training Leaders
Internship
The CCK Intern Program is designed for individuals seeking to deepen their relationship with Jesus, develop their gifts, and discover their calling. In 2024 we welcomed seven interns, equipping them with teaching in theology, leadership and character. We also provided practical experience through mid-week ministry placements. Our intern program will soon be complemented by Advance, a program of specific ministry stream focus alongside university-level theological studies. Ultimately, our vision is to send out our best leaders to plant churches.
Planting Churches
Support
CCK continues to support church plants, including Holy Trinity Church Windhoek. Founded by Kwatouta Katenda (‘KK’), a former CCK intern and graduate of George Whitfield College, it is experiencing significant growth, particularly among students and young professionals.
Run Alpha
In partnership with Alpha Southern Africa, we hosted 43 churches from across Cape Town at our "Run Alpha" days, providing training and resources to over 250 individuals and equipping them to lead their own Alpha courses.
To Renew Society
Outreach Partners
Over 13% of our CCK budget is allocated to outreach partnerships, supporting initiatives like prison Alphas, mission trips, and collaborations with local and international ministries. We were delighted to welcome five outreach partners to our inaugural Focus weekend.
Other Highlights…
Focus.
Held in August at Goudini Spa, Focus brought together 312 people for world-class teaching, heartfelt worship, and dedicated kids and youth ministry. It was a precious time for our CCK family.
Courses
CCK courses are designed to serve the wider community, offering tools for marriage and pre-marriage preparation, as well as support for emotional challenges like depression and self-worth. In 2024, 88 people enrolled in our pastoral, relationship, or family life courses.
