PRAYER

PRAYERS FOR THE SICK – Sunday 23 February 2025

Anna Dillon: Her chemo last week was long, but she took it in her stride. Please pray that as she works hard on her school work, she’ll be able to keep up and not have to repeat the year. Please also pray that the nerves in her face will soon recover and that the muscles will strengthen.

Barbara Richardson gives thanks for all the prayer support. Please pray that her level of energy and alertness will increase.

Ailsa Beatty gives thanks that her shingles is beginning to subside, but please continue to pray for relief from pain and discomfort.

Rob Ferrandi gives thanks for successful surgery and that he is coping well so far.

Jane Wood: Please pray that her second cataract op undergone today (Friday) will be successful.

Bereavement  

David Padkin died peacefully last Sunday and his funeral was on Thursday. Please pray that the love of God will bring comfort and strength to his wife Britha, his sister Sharron and all their family.

February Outreach Focus - Children's Library in Jim se Bos Settlement, Philippi.

Thank you again for giving us this wonderful opportunity to share our prayers. The fundamental aim and purpose of Hope Link Children’s Library is to support the education of vulnerable children. Thanks to the great help of Carola, Land, and Thobeka, we have been providing tutoring for children every Monday, which we call ‘Monday Tutoring.’ As a result, one of our students, Gladys, passed Matric and is now pursuing her dream of further education. Other students are also growing academically, step by step. This year, we are launching our ‘Monday Tutoring’ program again. Please hold before God the Monday Tutoring programme. If anyone is willing to help us support children in their urgent need for academic assistance, especially in mathematics, we welcome your support. We are praying earnestly for God's provision and for helping hands.

We thank the Lord for the Alpha Prison Team that is coming together. Training was held Thursday evening. Please pray for a smooth entry into Pollsmoor, and for the lives that will be transformed through this course.
